Bring Your Own Project (BYOP) Night v17.06

June 20, 2017

On the third Tuesday of every month we get together and work on javascript projects, learn from each other, and generally hang out.  Bring your own project (BYOP), your questions, your ideas, and a six pack of your favorite beer.

🍕Food and 🍻 Drink will be provided by The Control Group!

About The Control Group:

We are a 5-year-old, progressive web development and digital marketing, self-funded startup company that is already extremely profitable and expanding at a rapid pace. We focus our internal resources on building and marketing our own products so we’re our own clients. We currently have 80+ employees at our offices in Pacific Beach and Little Italy as well as a 175 person Member Care team in Las Vegas and a new 160 person Member Care team in Kearney Mesa.

Our flagship product is Instant Checkmate (, a people-search engine. The product is doing phenomenally well. The site gets OVER a million unique page hits a day and has been ranked as high as 310 on Alexa’s most visited sites in America. We also recently have launched two new products and are currently working on three more which will launch within the year. We are looking to grow our team of Front End and Application Developers.

If you have solid Javascript, Node.js, and/or Golang chops we would love to talk with you!

Parking is available in the 707 building lot (entrance is off of 8th avenue). Standard rates apply. There is also ample metered street parking and other lots at 8th & Broadway. DBC does not validate parking.

About Dev Bootcamp:

Dev Bootcamp pioneered the short-term immersive “web development bootcamp,” a 19 week model that transforms beginners into full-stack web developers. Through effort, community support and training, we help beginners with little or no technical background reach a level of proficiency that allows them to get paid to continue learning on the job as junior web developers. We focus on Ruby, JavaScript, Ruby on Rails, common JavaScript libraries, SQL, HTML and CSS, as well as pair programming, agile and test driven development.

Please respect our Code of Conduct

We welcome people of all backgrounds and skill levels.  In keeping with the sandiego.js spirit, please be friendly, welcoming, and respectful.

Please be respectful of others and respect our code of conduct.
